MENA Tour Update

Hi All,

Upon the conclusion of the 2017 season of our Tour, we have taken the time to reevaluate the direction and blueprint of our Tour. Under much deliberation and having taken considerable amounts of advice from our regional partners, industry stakeholders and you, our players, we have worked tirelessly to reshape the future of our Tour.

Throughout the course of this year, we have diligently reconstructed and elevated our Tour for the 2019 season and beyond. We would like to take this opportunity to share an overview of the significant changes we are planning to make:

  • We have adjusted our Tour’s schedule, to ensure we don’t clash with other qualifying schools and other Feeder Tours
  • Our Qualifying School and five tournaments will take place in late-January to early-April 2019, and a further five tournaments to take place between mid-October and late-December 2019
  • The 60 leading players from the 2017 OOM will automatically qualify for their new Tour Card
  • Prize funds will be increased to a minimum of $75,000 per tournament, with a select number of tournaments to carry a $100,000 prize fund
  • Our Tour will revert to staging tournaments predominately in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
  • We have developed new corporate partnerships, who are just as passionate as all of us in the development and progression of the Tour. These partners include a Tour Title Partner and a Destination Partner, among others. Further details of which will be announced shortly

Since 2011 we have genuinely appreciated those of you that have stood shoulder to shoulder with us and we look forward to sharing with all of you the exciting next steps in our incredible Journey!

With kind regards,

Your MENA Tour Team
